When to Schedule What
Timing your HVAC service right means you are not calling for emergency repair in July when every tech in the area is booked solid.
- March, April: AC tune-up before pollen season, clean coils, check refrigerant, test thermostat
- May, August: Change filters every 30 days during peak cooling. Check outdoor unit after thunderstorms.
- September, October: Furnace/heat pump inspection before heating season. Best availability for non-emergency service.
- November, February: Change filters monthly. Know where your emergency shutoff is. Brush snow off outdoor unit.
- Year-round: Check CO detectors on every floor. Replace batteries at daylight saving time changes.
